I have returned to the keystone state. Its just as chilly here as back home and we haven't quite figured out the heat so its very cold. I think the boiler's pilot light needs to be lit. I just don't have the confidence to light it by myself and there is that whole thing about me being unable to actually light a match. So I'll wait til BART or Buddy gets back and we'll conquer it together.

I had a really great time this weekend. I was uber bummed that I didn't get to spend more time with MMM and I didn't get to see Frances at all. But I was really happy and excited to be back at AQ. I can't wait until next year's homecoming. It'll be awesome.

I stole my mom's digital camera and have discovered a ton of photos so expect the next few entries to have LOTS of photos. I wish I could put them under a cut but I still haven't figured that out over here at blogger. Remember how wordpress had that handy dandy button? Why can't we have that here?

Also, can I just say how much I enjoy Rachel Zoe's show on Bravo? I know I know Rachel Zoe. But the clothes are to DIE for. I LOVE IT. I NEED IT. CLOTHES CLOTHES CLOTHES!

P.S. Does anyone want an invite to the Gilt Groupe?

Can I just say how much I freaking LOVE Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl? Every week the love, it grows and grows.

I went bowling again last night with some of my co-workers. Due to two of them being horribly judgmental people, I did not have one sip of alcohol around them. But I did say I had homework (which I did) and left early but instead of heading home, we went to a bar. I feel all weird about it. I've never had to sneak alcohol ever and now that I'm 22 I'm becoming a secret drinker.

Cupcake Update! I had a red velvet one and it was so so so good. But they put so much frosting on them and I just don't appreciate it that much.

Pomme and Toi are coming for a visit this weekend and I am so so PUMPED! EXCITED! YAY! FRIENDS!!!!! That reminds me I need to find some time to clean, kill giant spiders, get some food.

I feel like my hair is getting extremely long. I decided when I moved I wouldn't cut it until I graduated grad school and then I'd donate it. Its something I've always wanted to do and I thought it would help reduce expenses not having to pay for haircuts. But its driving me crazy!!

Things I forgot to write about in my last post:
  1. Toi scaring this poor girl when she got her first glimpse of the dessert table last night. It was hilarious! Ask her about it!
  2. AQ has already reassigned my phone number to some girl who answers the phone "Hi, this is Mary." Is it now an office number? Who has moved in already? And I want my number back!
  3. This video one of my new roomies sent me:

Am watching Project Runway. So far I am disgusted by the judges' opinions. Everything I think it cute, they hate. Everything I think is ugly, aqua, purple and horribly 80', they love. God Nina, you are boring me. I think this is Bravo's way of screwing with the producers after they chose to move the show to another network. Only its us viewers that are suffering.

I don't even know why I watch Doctor Who anymore. It just makes me sad and angry. I just finished the season finale and my head hurts, really hurts.

Its like Russell T. Davies (couldn't just be Russell Davies or Russ, oh no he needs that whole long big name because he's stupid) tapped into one of my biggest fears of being stupid and not being able to lead a productive life and injected it all into Donna. Just to show her that she is awesome and BRILLIANT and it was there inside of her all along only to take it all away. Its like she'll forever have that thing on her back that everyone can see but her because the two people she cares about most in the world are keeping the BIGGEST secret from her for the rest of her life. Its just mean, very mean.

The line at the end when The Doctor was all like I guess they all have someone else blah, blah, blah. Its only because he makes it that way.

There are only 2 things keeping me a fan right now:
  1. K-9 is still just as awesome as ever!!!! Though he should have had way more dialogue.
  2. The fact that nothing is permanent on this show. So whenever the writers can't think of a plot for next week, they can always bring Donna back and fix her.
I guess maybe now there is always a possibility that she can find stuttering guy and live a completely fulfilling life.

I just saw a commercial for No One Would Tell. It looks awesome. The story is about a shy teenager (Candace Cameron Bure) who becomes involved with an abusive boyfriend (Fred Savage) and when she tries to break it off she disappears!! Oh and its a "based on a true story" story. Its going to be on Lifetime tonight at 9. I think its a must see or at the very least its getting Tivo'd.

ETA: I Tivo'd this and it was awesome. Candace played the dumb girlfriend and Fred was creepy & controlling. Best parts were the adult characters including the skinny, alive Mama from the Mamas & the Papas and the judge was played by Sally Jessi Raphael who talked to the camera to give us a lesson about helping our friends in abusive relationships.

Since moving home I have watched a lot of TV. And this might be the cheesiest made for television movie ever: Final Approach. It starred Anthony Michael Hall, Lea Thompson, Dean Cain, and Tracey Gold. Every made-for-tv stereotype was in this thing: hostages, kidnapping, bombs, tv reporter with questionable morals, bad extras who over act, airplane running out of fuel and having to make a desperate landing at a desert airstrip that is too small. Hallmark Channel was playing the movie as a part of their White Knuckle Weekend which I think is just code for all their bad, cheesy action movies. The next movie starred Patrick Swayze and he was fighting an elephant. It was pretty amazing.

Then I was watching Law & Order: SVU reruns when I couldn't sleep last night. And who showed up but Will Arnett!! I was excited before I realized he was playing a BAD man with an equally bad wardrobe. He was wearing this blue blazer with a mini-check pattern. It was hideous. And his hair had bleach blond highlights. I almost felt bad for him.

I think I may need to find a new hobby.
