This is for Bestie! (I'm not quite sure what to name you. I didn't want to go with Old Bestie because it makes you sound old. So I'll work on it. I promise.) She wanted pictures and since I don't have a digital camera it took me a few days to realize that my computer has a camera built in. I know, I've been kind of dumb the last week.

These are the shoes I got last weekend for $2.50

This is the side view.

This is the front view.

They are described as red but I think they are more of a wine color. And yes the bow is made of velvet. But they fit perfectly!

I went to see the Sex and the City movie with my mom. It seemed appropriate since I used to rent the seasons and watch them with her because we didn't have HBO. I enjoyed the movie. It just made me want to dash off to NYC to live in a wonderful Manhattan apartment thats only $750 a month and wear designer labels and run around with my fabulous friends. But then it was pointed out that all of that would need money.

I wont reveal any of the plot in case people are planning on seeing it. But I will say that I found it hilarious that the biggest audience reaction did not come from any big character developments or crazy fashion choices. Instead, it came when Carrie's new closet was unveiled. But to be fair it was a glorious closet. I would keep my room clean for that closet.

Oh, and guys?

Promise that if I ever get a boyfriend and we go to the movies and I watch the movie with my check pressed up against his, you'll slap me.

Thanks!

I love this commercial. Its are sooo pretty. And when they move their arms and instruments more colors appear! The song is pretty cool too. I used to think that Chris Martin was only wearing a jacket and a rather large necklace. But after many viewings I now see that he is wearing a shirt under the jacket. So I'm still allowed to have a little respect for him.

I have a dilemma. I need a new digital camera as mine has died a painful death. I was just going to "borrow" my brother's but his is now doing funky things. I need to decide whether I should get a basic model or spring for a slightly more advanced one. I don't really use the camera on a daily basis but when I do have a need for it I want nice pictures. So I'm asking what kind of camera do you have? do you like it? is it evil? what do you recommend?

I started looking at different stores to see what they have and all the cheap ones are baby pink which I don't really understand. Is it to attract teenage girls? Is that just cheaper than silver? It confused me.

Oh and I dropped my computer today. I feel horrible, like a bad mother.

Hey Friends!

Who wants to make me these? Wouldn't they make the best midnight snack? I'd love you for forever!

Also, I got a pair of shoes today for $2.50. I think I'm starting to love shoes.

Since moving home I have watched a lot of TV. And this might be the cheesiest made for television movie ever: Final Approach. It starred Anthony Michael Hall, Lea Thompson, Dean Cain, and Tracey Gold. Every made-for-tv stereotype was in this thing: hostages, kidnapping, bombs, tv reporter with questionable morals, bad extras who over act, airplane running out of fuel and having to make a desperate landing at a desert airstrip that is too small. Hallmark Channel was playing the movie as a part of their White Knuckle Weekend which I think is just code for all their bad, cheesy action movies. The next movie starred Patrick Swayze and he was fighting an elephant. It was pretty amazing.

Then I was watching Law & Order: SVU reruns when I couldn't sleep last night. And who showed up but Will Arnett!! I was excited before I realized he was playing a BAD man with an equally bad wardrobe. He was wearing this blue blazer with a mini-check pattern. It was hideous. And his hair had bleach blond highlights. I almost felt bad for him.

I think I may need to find a new hobby.

The Tigers won!!! by like 16. It was crazy. I went to get an elephant ear and when I came back the score was 19-3. It was weird for me because I'm used to the Tigers losing every time I go to Comerica Park. Detroit was really cool. There was a party at every corner. People at the game were wearing Pistons & Red Wings jerseys. A ton of people had radios so they could listen to the other games. Oh, and I got my beer which made me really happy.

But best conversation all night was this:
Announcer: "Comerica Park is a family friendly environment. Please respect this policy"
My Family: "Damn. Booo!!! What the hell? This sucks."
I love my family.

Oh and here is another reason I'm sad I no longer live in Europe: EUROVISION! This year's winner was Russia with the song "Believe" by Dima Bilan! Here's the video:

Oh and because no post is complete without food. We are eating Brunch today at Jake's. Here is the menu. I don't even know what to choose.

I ended up making lemon cupcakes with lemon frosting because those are my dad's favorites. But I was inspired by all those Top Chef marathons I've been watching lately. So I reserved some of the cupcakes and frosted them with Dark Chocolate Fudge frosting! I add some pictures here but my digital camera is broken as well as my brother's so y'all are just going to have to imagine how perfect they were.

We are off to the Detroit Tigers game tonight. I was told that the Tigers, Pistons, and Wings are all playing home tonight so this should be pretty interesting. But I'm most excited for a hotdog, an elephant ear and my first Comerica Park beer! I've been looking forward to this for a long time! Oh and FIREWORKS!!!

I can never come up with creative titles so I'm just going to number these.

I thought I had an account here at blogspot but after 2 hours of searching I've been proved
wrong. So I spent the next hour trying to come up with a name that had not been taken in 2003 by people who blogged once and gave up. Somehow I came u
p with this name, it was available, and I decided I didn't really care that much after all.

I'm making cupcakes for my dad's birthday tomorrow. So I was searching the web for some inspiration and I found these. Don't they look yummy?
